One Thousand Gifts
Mondays... a fresh start in so many little ways
kind neighbors who share their harvest of green beans
how the realization that letters build words causes Grace to try and read everything she sees as though it's a feast for her tongue
layers of garden tomatoes, salt & pepper, fresh mozarella, basil leaves, and balsamic vinegar as I try to squeeze out what remains of summer
having Dave back after a week and a half of 12-15 hour days at work
worshiping with my brothers and sisters, arms high and heart abandoned, in awe of the one Who gave it all
hours to sew granted by my thoughtful husband
figuring out a quicker and easier way to gather fabric
my first time making a dress for Gracie and how she giggled and clapped her hands in delight when I showed it to her
big boys who make sandwiches and peel oranges for their little sister & brother
Evan suddenly starting to call me "Mama" again
Ball jar full of peanuts and candy corn
the anticipation of decorating for fall
using what I have and feeling content
